Frequently asked questions

The ideal time to embark on this expedition is during the spring, or from April to July, when the vegetation is abundant. October and November are prime times for this hike since post-monsoon vegetation blooms during those months. The chilly weather lasts the entire year, and all these months are the most enjoyable.

The difficulty of the Chandrashila Trek ranges from simple to strenuous. You should be fit and strong, though, because of the altitude. The amount of oxygen will drop as height rises. As the amount of oxygen decreases, frequent aerobic workouts and lengthy walks on uneven terrain will increase your strength and endurance, which will be helpful at high elevations.

Yes, you will have mobile service on your trip to Chopta Tungnath. Sari will have mobile connectivity for BSNL, Jio, and VI connections. You may well not receive any connectivity, though, as the voyage continues. So when you get to Sari, wrap up your conversations and let your loved ones know about the lousy network access.
