Triund trek, located in the enormous and hefty Dhauladhar range and Kangra valley, offers some of the exquisite beauty of the knolls. It is also very picturesque, with staggeringly beautiful mist-shrouded views of the Kangra valley and the snow-clad Dhauladhar ranges. Triund is the ultimate spot for those looking to take a hassle-free trek of the Himalayan tops. The journey can simply be completed in a single weekend.
Triund's trail is simple but steep. The forest along the trail is teeming with songbirds, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Given the ease of access from Dharamshala or McLeodGanj, many trekking enthusiasts go on this trek, making it challenging to indulge in the serenity of the place and can become packed with people on top during the weekends or holiday season. It is preferable to bask in the glory of this trek during the weekdays.
